I studied Early Childhood & Family Studies at the University of Washington (Seattle), followed by an MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a certificate in Expressive Arts Therapy at Appalachian State University.
From the sea-glassed beaches of the pacific northwest, to feet of forested snow in Norway, to the red rocks & pines of the front range, I’ve become grounded in diverse experiences and perspectives.
I have 10+ years experience working with individuals across the lifespan:
I’ve taught barnehage (kindergarten) in a frozen forest and guided adolescents & their parents through therapeutic interventions in the Blue Ridge Mountains. I’ve developed nature-based, ecotherapy-inspired curriculum for preschools in the heart of the city and led expressive-arts workshops for families. I am also a parent to a young child.
I bring a deep respect for the power of story, creativity, and mindfulness throughout the healing process.
